On the same day, the dissertation work of the 3rd-year doctoral candidate of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Xoliqov Nodirjon Abduxalil oʻgʻli, titled "Improving the organizational and economic mechanisms for developing pilgrimage tourism destinations (on the example of the Samarkand region)" for the PhD degree in the specialty 08.00.17 – "Tourism and Hospitality Activities" was also discussed at the meeting of the Interdepartmental Scientific Seminar under the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
During the scientific seminar, doctoral candidate Xoliqov Nodirjon attracted the attention of university professors and participants with his research. He detailed the urgent issues in the field of pilgrimage tourism in the Samarkand region and ways to address them, highlighting the effective use of modern scientific approaches and methods in tourism development. He proposed innovative ideas and organizational-economic mechanisms that could be applied not only at the regional level but also at the national level for the development of pilgrimage tourism. The seminar members pointed out errors and shortcomings in the research and provided recommendations to rectify these issues before the main defence of the dissertation.
