On August 10-11 of this year, within the framework of the implementation of the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan PD No.-135 of April 26, 2023, the "Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions Providing Tourism Education" is being held at Urganch State University. The head of the "Languages and Global Studies" department of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, T.I. Sultanov, participated in this forum, which was attended by tourism experts from 11 higher educational institutions of our republic, and spoke about increasing the tourism potential of Samarkand, Urgut, Taylak and Payarik districts attached to our university in 2024. He gave a presentation on the work done in January-July.
Within the framework of the forum, it is planned to hold a roundtable discussion on the topic "Directions for improving the quality of education and transformation in the field of tourism", to get acquainted with the conditions created for students at Urganch State University, to visit Yusuf Hamadoni Shrine in Shavat District, Ichan-Kala Museum-Reserve in Khiva, Nurillaboy Palace, Muhammad Rizo Ogahi House-Museum, to visit the creative school named after Muhammad Rizo Ogahi, to participate in the "Melon festival" held in Khiva.
